Watercolours – A three-ply hand-dyed pima cotton in variegated colors. It has a silky sheen, especially when used with long, flat stitches. One ply is about the same weight as a #5 pearl cotton.

Waterlilies – A twelve-ply hand-dyed variegated silk. It gives a subtle sheen when stitched and has particularly good light reflection qualities.

Wildflowers – A single hand-dyed cotton in variegated colors. It has more of a matte finish when stitched. One strand is approximately the same weight as flower thread or Medicis wool (between a #8 and #12 pearl cotton in weight). Can be used for bobbin work on quilts

Snow – A synthetic metallic thread, Snow has a lot of sparkle to it and decorative stitches work well in Snow. The weight is similar to a #5 pearl cotton.

Fine #8 Braid – This metallic braid can be used in Cross Stitch (11-4 ct), Needlepoint (18-30ct) and crochet (equivalent to a #10 crochet weight.

Tapestry #12 braid – this metallic braid can be use in Cross Stitch (11 ct), Needlepoint (13 – 18ct) and for embellishments in Scrpabooking and Card Making.

Iron-On Thread – We carry Fine #8 Braid ad Medium #16 braid.Krienik’s Iron-on Thread is a fusible, no-glue, no-glitter, no-mess embellishment. Just place the thread where you want it, cover it with a piece of Teflon press cloth, and use an iron to adhere the thread to any paper, cardstock or fabric.

Alpaca 18 -  A 100% Alpaca yarn that is strong and will not fray easily. Use a toothbrush or  Bunka Brush to fluff it up to maximize the furry effect

Artic Rays – This yarn is a wispy fringe which has pieces of transparent fiber to give it a glistening effect.

Cresta d’Oro – This is a metallic chainette.. This fiber can give you the effects of am metallic braid but with a softer hand. Chainette fibers require using larger-than-normal needles and coming straight up and down through the canvas to minimize raveling.

Designer’s Dream – This is a single strand wool yarn that may be plied to fit a variety of cans sizes (2 strands on 18 count, 4 strands on 13-14 count).

Fancy Fur – This is a nice furry yarn with a hint of shine that comes in many “un-fur” colors. Best used in long stitches, Fancy Fur does not need to be fluffed or brushed and its hint of shine does not overpower the fur part.

Flair – Flair is a tubular nylon fiber with a nice glimmer. On painted canvasses, it reinforces the color underneath. For an added effect, blending filaments and other fibers may be inserted in Flair to change its look.

Fluffy Fleece and Baby Fluffy Fleece – This fiber is wonderful for beards and fur. It is a blend of superfine alpaca, wool and nylon. Couch it on your needlework design for best effect.

Fuzzy Stuff – Fuzzy Stuff is exactly that – a really fuzzy yearn with a shiny glint. There are some good animal colors and some very wild and funky colors that are great for Halloween design, wild hair or outlandish garments.

Fyre Werks – Fyre Werks is a beautiful shiny metallic ribbon that will add glitter and glitz to your work. Fyre Werks also comes in a soft sheen for less of a shine and more hint of metallic, and hologram which has a depth to the shine what comes from a hologram that is cut into thin strips and braided.

Gold Rush 14 and Gold Rush 18 – Gold Rush is a chainette and the number after the Gold Rush logo denotes the size of canvas for which the yarn is best suited. This versatile yarn is well-suited for those areas that need an intense metallic shine.

Hi-Lights – This wonderful fiber solves the problem of adding blending filament to yarn. This is a thin thread that may be used in cross-stitch and plied for needlework.

Neon Rays and Neon Rays Plus – Neon rays is a 100% rayon ribbon in bright colors. Neon rays has a special subdued elegant sparkle. Both work best for long stitches and should be used with a laying tool.

Nordic Gold – Nordic Gold is a very fine metallic that is excellent for needlepoint and hardanger. It is a chainette and is about the size of 2-3 plies of blending filament.

Overture – Overture is a four-ply variegated cotton yarn. Each strand o Overture is about the size of Pearl Cotton #5. Best use is two strands on 12-14 count canvas and one strand on 18-count canvas.

Pebble Perle – This is a four-ply cotton yarn with a cabled appearance and a matte finish.

Rainbow Tweed – Rainbow Tweed is a blend of cotton wool and acrylis that absorbs the dyes unevenly giving it a very “heathery” look , wonderful for stitching large areas such as sky, water, mountains and greenery. It is a 4-ply yarn which comes in “solid” colors and gentle overdyed colors.

Silk Lame Braid – Silk Lame Braid is made of 8 strands of silk and 8 strands of metallic. This wonderful mix of silk and metallic together gives your design an elegant sparkle.

Splendor – This is a 12-ply silk floss with an unusual construction. It has three bundles of four strands each. The twist of each individual strand is tighter than most silks, and many of the colors may be substituted for DMC cotton Floss (we have a conversion chart).

Tiara – Tiara is a metallic yarn that is twisted, not braided. This makes it softer and somewhat easier to use, but it will fray.

Treasure Braid Petite – This s an extremely versatile three-ply braided metallic. It can be used as a blending filament  but is equivalent in weight to two plies of most blending filaments. Combine it with a few plies of Splendor for a subtle, shimmery effect.

Very Velvet – This is a fuzzy, beautiful velour yarn. On 18-count it is best used for long stitches.

Water ‘n Ice – Water n Ice is a loosely braided translucent ribbon. It is fantastic for a painted canvas where you want some of the color to show through. It is also great for any reflecting surface such as water, ice and mirrors.

Wisper – Wisper is a very fine fuzzy single yarn. It is usually necessary to ply up to a thickness that will cover your canvas. Combine it with another stronger yarn such as Designer’s Dream to give it more strength.
